Dr. Ashraf Riad, DVM
Dr. Riad is a dedicated Veterinarian originally from Cairo, Egypt. He graduated from Cairo University in 2005 and brings a diverse background in the Veterinary and Pharmaceutical industries. His career began in marketing and sales within Pharmaceutical companies, where he developed a strong foundation in client communication, product knowledge, and business operations.
With years of experience, Dr. Riad combines his clinical expertise with a well-rounded understanding of the industry, allowing him to provide thoughtful, informed care to both patients and their owners. Dr. Riad completed his Canadian equivalency requirements and passed his practical exam at the Western College of Veterinary
Medicine, University of Saskatchewan.
Over the years, Dr. Riad has built lasting relationships with his clients by taking the time to listen, educate, and provide thoughtful, personalized care. He believes that trust and clear communication are key to achieving the best outcome for both pets and their owners.
Dr. Sabah Mobarak, DVM
Dr. Mobarak received his degree of Veterinary Medicine in 1975 and his Masters Degree in Veterinary Parasitology in 1978 from Baghdad University. With over 25 years of experience in animal care, Dr. Mobarak has built a strong reputation for providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary medicine, with a focus on both preventative care and advanced treatment.
Dr. Mobarak is passionate about forming lasting relationships with his clients and their pets, ensuring each patient receives personalized attention and care.
Brooklyn Clow: Assistant Manager
Brooklyn is the Assistant Manager at our clinic and brings over three years of experience as a dedicated Veterinary Assistant. With a strong passion for animal care and client support, Brooklyn plays an essential role in ensuring the clinic runs efficiently while fostering a welcoming and compassionate environment for both patients and their owners.
Throughout her career, Brooklyn has developed a solid foundation in patient care, client communication, and team coordination. She is committed to delivering high-quality
care and supporting both the veterinary team and clients through every step of their
visit.
Outside of the clinic, Brooklyn enjoys spending time with her beloved Schnauzer Zeek, which further deepens her appreciation for the human-animal bond and the importance of compassionate veterinary care. She values balance in her life and cherishes both quiet moments with a good book and quality time with loved ones.
Kaylah Foster: Veterinary Technician
Kaylah Foster is a Veterinary Technician with a strong devotion to animal care with a personal joy for pocket pets. Graduating from Northern College’s Veterinary Technician program with honours in 2023, she has obtained hands-on clinical experience, assisting in a wide array of veterinary procedures, and continues to hone her practical abilities in a professional work setting. With specific care on fear free animal handling.
She strives to advance her credentials and diversify her capabilities in the veterinary field. Outside of her professional career, Kaylah enjoys artistic hobbies such as colouring and music. She maintains a healthy lifestyle by staying active in the gym.
Samantha Taggart: Veterinary Assistant
Samantha was born and raised in Ottawa. She joined our team in 2020 and has been working as a Veterinary Assistant. Samantha has a strong passion for animal care and is committed to providing quality care for every patient. In her free time, she enjoys reading, going to the gym and spending time with family and friends.
Lala Tahir: Veterinary Assistant
Lala is a Veterinary Assistant with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and has a lifelong passion for animal care. From a young age, she has always felt a strong connection to animals, which led her to pursue both her education and career in this field. She loves being part of a team that supports the health and well-being of pets while also building meaningful relationships with their owners.
At home, she has both a dog (Tootik) and a cat (Howie), and over time she has definitely become a proud cat person—especially after adopting her cat from the clinic! That experience made her role even more special, as she truly understands the bond between pets and their families. She is dedicated to providing compassionate care and helping every patient feel as comfortable and safe as possible during their visit.
Melissa Lavergne: Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant
Melissa was born and raised in Ottawa. She joined our team back in 2025. She is a busy full time mom to a beautiful daughter and also has a cat at home (Minnie).
In her spare time she loves to go on spontaneous adventures. She adores camping and enjoys being outdoors. She is devoted to her work and always ready to give you the best experience while visiting our clinic.
